About the Property
The Key West Club consists of 40.98 acres of land, much of it bordering the Rivanna River. The property is privately owned and access is limited to members of the Key West Club. There is no public access to the river or the trails. The cost of maintaining the pool road is borne by members of the Club.
The Club’s walking trails extend only to the limits of the property; the map below shows where the Club’s parcel (062B1) ends and the privately-owned land bordering Club property begins. If members have explored the trail beyond this end-point, they have enjoyed beautiful land owned by residents of Key West Drive and Explorers Road, some of whom have placed parts of their property under conservation easements. These residents deserve our gratitude for their generosity in allowing people to walk on their property, as well as our meticulous attention to treating their property gently and with respect. Club members who destroy or damage the property of our neighboring landowners after having accessed that property from Club property may face revocation of membership without refund.
